The life of a Trade Plate Driver can be fulfilling, rewarding and enjoyable should you conduct yourself in the correct manner. 
 
What other role gives you the opportunity to meet new people and travel the length and breadth of the U.K. on a weekly basis? 
This role is not a driving job. It is a customer service role whilst driving a vehicle. At Simply Driven Logistics we will train you the SDL way and furnish you with everything you need to become a successful Trade Plate Driver. Your commitment to following the guidance given coupled with the technology and back-office support at hand will ensure that your experience carrying out this role will be all of the above and more. 
 
You must possess basic technical skills to operate electronic documents and emails, have the ability to drive all manner of vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes: manual, automatic & electric types. You must be over the age of 21 (insurance requirement), carry a full driver’s licence and have at least 3 years driving experience along with off-road parking at your home address. You are also required to wear the issued SDL uniform. 
All drivers are required to provide us with a Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check before starting work with SDL. If you are already in possession of one less than 3 months old, you can upload it on the application form below. If you do not hold a current DBS check, you must apply for one or request that SDL apply on your behalf. 
 
The check will be carried out by APCS Ltd, an authorised umbrella body approved by the Government. We will send you a link to the page and the log in details to start your application. The current cost of a basic DBS check is £31.20 should you wish to apply yourself and SDL will pay 50% back to you on receipt being submitted.. If you would prefer SDL to apply on your behalf the cost will be £31.20 + £15.00 administration charge. SDL will only reimburse 50% of the £31.20 in this case.
