Mike Lyall Group Managing Director
On the 9th of December 2024, Mike Lyall assumed the role of Group Managing Director for both Merseyside Vehicle Movements (MVM) and Simply Driven Logistics (SDL).
Since 2018, MVM has collaborated successfully with SDL, MVM, under Mike Lyall’s leadership since 2016, has built an excellent reputation in the vehicle movement sector. This transition will see both companies operate under the MVM name, continuing to provide the high standard of service our clients expect.
We are a company based now in both the Northwest of England and Leicester, with an increased national network of experienced, uniformed professional drivers and have been successfully operating now for over six years.
I personally have worked and experienced the way in which other companies operate from both a customer and supplier perspective.
With this knowledge we understand what many of them lack and we also understand what is needed to improve this element of the process, having been in the corporate arena for over twenty years I am confident that we have the right combination of skills and professionalism to deliver the level of service you and your clients crave and rightly deserve.
The intention is to make Merseyside Vehicle Movements (MVM) And Simply Driven Logistics (SDL) the number one choice to complete the movements.
Riley Sim Planner
Riley joined SDL in 2018 as an administrator and quickly progressed to the planning team Riley’s unique problem-solving skills has provided invaluable support to both the customers and drivers.
Archie Deniz Business Administrator
Archie joined us as an Apprentice in October 2020. Whilst working full time Archie was also enrolled on a Business Administration Apprenticeship with a local college. Not only did Archie complete his apprenticeship ahead of time but he was also awarded “Apprentice Of The Year 2021”. Archie’s methodical approach to work and attention to detail gives the administration team a solid base.
Molly Thomas Administrator
March 2022 saw the arrival of Molly.
Molly’s reliability and dedication to the organisation complement the already strong administration team.
Jordan Skinner Administration Manager
Jordan has no doubt cemented herself as a pillar of the business since joining in November 2019. Jordan’s natural ability to lead, instruct, and train other members of her team is commendable.
Kirsty Bates Accounts Supervisor
Since December 2018 Kirsty remains irreplaceable within the accounts team. Making sure that the invoicing and driver expenses are reconciled accurately whilst supporting Kris with her increasing workloads.
Rachel Friend Accounts Administrator
Like Kirsty, Rachel also has the unenviable task of making sure that the driver’s expenses are reconciled to reflect correct payments to drivers. Somehow, Rachel always manages to do this with a smile on her face.
Jay Linn Operations Manager
Jay was an experienced driver for SDL before being invited into the management team as Operations Manager in April 2021. He has a multi-function role, with responsibility for duties such as recruitment and training, hardware and IT support, and provision of uniform. Jay’s unwavering commitment to ensuring that only the best drivers are recruited means that our customers will always receive a first-class service.
